Daft Punk's Tour in France: The Homecoming Show

Daft Punk are, famously, a Paris act through and through - Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo met at school in the city, and the early French Touch scene they emerged from in the early-to-mid 1990s was built around Parisian clubs and labels like Roulé and Crydamoure.

Despite that, home shows were rare. The standout was a headline performance at Rock en Seine in Paris during the Alive 2007 run - a homecoming in the literal sense, with the pyramid stage built in the city that produced both members.

It's one of the clearest examples of how Daft Punk treated live performance: scarce, deliberate, and never something to be taken for granted - even in their own backyard.
