Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
Released as the fourth single from Discovery in 2001, "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" built an entire track from a single vocoded mantra layered over a stuttering, sample-based groove. Its visual companion came via "Interstella 5555," the full-length anime film that paired the whole album with a continuous narrative.
The song's reach exploded years later when Kanye West sampled it for "Stronger" (2007), introducing the track - and by extension Daft Punk's robot imagery - to an entirely new audience right as Alive 2007 was underway.
Live, it became one of the tour's signature peaks, its looping vocal hook tailor-made for the continuous-mix format that defined Alive 2007's set design.
