Daft Punk in Australia: The 2013 Question
When Random Access Memories launched in 2013, Australia was one of several territories where it premiered early via streaming - and, predictably, Australian fans immediately started asking whether a tour stop would follow, especially given Daft Punk's history of strong Southern Hemisphere festival interest.
It didn't happen. Random Access Memories never received any tour at all, anywhere - a deliberate choice that held all the way through to the duo's 2021 retirement, meaning Alive 2007 remains the last time Daft Punk performed live in any form, anywhere in the world.
